Five years ago on January 2, 2013 I took a leap of faith and wrote my first official blog post.
Wow! Time has flown and I’m so grateful to have had each of you along the way for the ride. I’ve published more than 900 posts simply because I love words, and from time-to-time have something to say. There have been ups and downs, life changes, challenges, celebrations, events, random musings, inspiration, too many testimonies to count and food. What’s next? I don’t know, but I can’t wait to share it with you.
Three years ago, on January 2, 2013 I sat at my desk and pecked out the first post for LifeGetsBetter at http://www.angelamooreblog.wordpress.com. I had no idea what this journey into virtual journalism would yield for me, as I only wanted to have a platform to share what was in my heart and my head through my hands. I also wanted to be able to say through a healthy, productive avenue things which have transpired which otherwise could have, or would have been addressed a totally different way. Just being real…LOL! Lastly, I wanted a venue to have my voice heard and my “God got me through this” story told from my very own words as it had been semi-silent or misrepresented in recent years prior to the post with hopes of helping myself while helping others. Just being realer.
Anywho, it’s my birthday!!!!
WOW!!!! What an amazing ride the last three years have been as I’ve been able to us the medium of social media in so many ways. For me, and hopefully you, it’s been like a spiritual oasis where healing is the objective of the day, like a therapist providing real-talk, transparent, lay-it-all-on-the-table and leave-it-all-on-the-couch help where needed, like a stage for voluntary and involuntary comic relief, like a good girlfriend holding my deepest secrets, like a Sanrio Hello Kitty diary containing my biggest hopes, prayers and dreams, and like a $5.99, top-shelf Hallmark card providing encouragement and support. (Now if I could only get it to be like a bank and do what banks do. #chaching)
Through the last few years I’ve opened up to parts of me I didn’t know I was ready to write about or if others were ready to read about. There’s so much more deeper, even more transparent revelations on the tips of my fingers ready to be written in an effort to give God as much glory as possible out of this life and daily grace and mercy He’s given. One thing I’ve learned by writing or re-writing over 700 posts over the last three years is that life is like a mega-ride at Six Flags. It’s full of gut-wrenching, squeal-inducing, worth the wait, magical memories ups and downs. I’m down with that as long as I always end up up. I’m so excited to see where this new year of new posts on Life Gets Better takes me. One things for sure, I’m glad to have you along for the adventure.
Blessings to Y-O-U for letting my words have a space to live and breathe.
